I thought my fave was gonna be 70s but I just loved more 60s for some reason... ------------------ IP: Logged |

I enjoyed the 70s the most. I remembered reading quite a few of those stories when I was a young'un, in their original publications. IP: Logged |

I thought the 60s would be my favorite, and it is almost tied with the 50s, but the 50s edges it out as it actually had stories in it that I hadn't read. Archive completist, yes. TPBs no. I don't have the 70s Superman or Batman. IP: Logged |

For me the 60s volume edged out the others, followed by the 70s (just barely) over the 50s. There were gems to be found in all. IP: Logged |

I love the 60s volume...everyone needs a laugh now and then. Plus, along with the Bizarro volume, it makes for some mighty narcotic bedtime reading... IP: Logged |

The 60s collection was also my favourite. The 70s volume suffered because I have many many more Superman comics from that period. There are lots of great stories that didn't make it into that tpb, while a few mediocre ones snuck in. And in some instances the art was printed better in the original than in the tpb. 60s wins out because I don't have enough Supermans from that era to make a comparison, and it has the height of the Weisinger era to draw from. With 50s, the Weisinger era only begins at the end of the 50s. All those great Lois Lane, Bizarro, Legion, and Supergirl stories are yet to be written. IP: Logged |
